Cantina del Taburno Fidelis Aglianico del Taburno Campania 2007

The great thing about this vintage is that it brings all the power you expect from Aglianico but manages to stay light on its feet. It also brings ripe fruit that will please New World palates, without forgetting its Southern Italian roots. The nose is dominated by black cherries, dried figs, anise and black pepper. The palate displays great freshness and brings subtle hints of bittersweet chocolate. This is drinking great now but will happily cellar for the next 3 to 5 years.
