Tasting Notes

Unusual and delicious, Byrrh (pronounced "beer") is drunk as an aperitif. It is best served cool, and goes well with a twist of lemon zest or a little Creme de Cassis. Since its creation at the end of the 19th century, quinine-flavored Byrrh has contributed to the tradition of French wine-based aperitifs.

Cocktail Recipe:
Byrrh Special
1 1/2 oz Byrrh
1 1/2 oz Plymouth Gin
Lemon Twist
Stir on ice and strain into a coupe.

For fun, here's a commercial from 1960 featuring Byrrh!
